Small Class Sizes

Small Class Sizes

If the dance class has fewer students in it each child will receive more personalized attention, learn more and have more fun. With younger students it is easier for a teacher to maintain control over the class and make sure each student understands the concepts and instructions. Our smaller class sizes make sure that no fundamental concepts are being missed. A smaller class size also allows our teachers to ensure that students are not developing bad habits or improper technique.

For preschool dance, our studio limits classes for (ages 1½ – 3) to a maximum of just 7 students per class, and for (ages 4 – 6) we limit Ballet classes to a maximum of just 10 students per class, and Hip Hop Jr. to a maximum of 12 per class.  All of our dance classes (ages 6 – 12) we limit to a maximum of just 13 students per class, and classes (ages 13 & up) have maximum of 13 students per class.

Enabling a student to get more individual instruction from a teacher results in greater progress over a shorter period of time. Capping our class sizes also ensures that the teacher can catch problems before they turn into bad habits or improper technique.
